Cyber Security Engineer

Assist with installation or processing of new security products and procedures while monitoring for breaches or intrusions. When familiar with the security environment assist with the standards, practices and strategy.

Ideally you will have experience of:

  • secure networks, systems and applications
  • Security policy, standards and procedure
  • risk assessment tools, technologies and methods
  • disaster recovery

The Role:

A new role in the business the Security analyst will work with other IT departments to assess the current stature and then develop the IT Security Strategy, Security Standards and best practices. Using experience in a hands on capacity to recover from breaches, carry out vulnerability checks and keep up to date with technology tool options.

Raising security awareness will be a key component to educate employees on threats the business are up against.

Requirements:

  • disaster recovery, computer forensics and recovering from a security breach
  • Security Education and awareness
  • Regularly assess the network and make enhancements as necessary
  • monitor the networks and systems for security breaches or intrusions.
