This is an excellent career opportunity with a leading and significant specialist software solutions group which is on a steep growth curve and works with large corporate clients, institutions and governments and specialises in anti-piracy and anti-fraud software services. It has a global footprint with operations in the UK, USA and further afield and this role will be as a key player within their IT team. Given the international reach of the company there is lots of flexibility with regard to your location and where you can work from.

Your primary responsibility will be for protecting the groups networks and computer systems from all security threats or attacks and in effect being their first line of defence. You will establish and implement security solutions that can defend their networking assets and computer systems security, protecting information and files from intruders, errors and viruses with the use of various tools such as Intruder Detection Systems, Antivirus and Cleaners. You will install and configure firewalls, patch and maintain switches and routers, develop automation script to track security incidents and compile management reports and operating procedures and protocols.

A highly impressive individual with the headroom to grow within this international group is required. You will need high quality academic credentials, a Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science and also have CISSP or SANS GIAC certification. You will need to have up to date knowledge of security principles and technologies in infrastructure, network, cloud and endpoint security and experience of working with security vendors to evaluate products and analyse functionality is also required.
