Security Operations Centre Manager
£37,730 - £44,000 plus £1,750 location allowance + benefits
Hanslope Park, Milton Keynes
23 months fixed term contract

At FCO Services, we support government-level customers globally by delivering critical products and solutions that keep information, assets and people safe. Our Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC) is key to this work, providing protective monitoring for the IT systems we deliver and managing the risk of hostile threats. Take on responsibility for operational delivery at the centre, and you can play a critical role in its continuing growth and success.

Manage the team that combats global security threats

You’ll be the one ensuring our Cyber Security Operations Centre performs as effectively possible. How? By leading, developing and mentoring the centre team, and by taking personal responsibility for high-profile risks and issues that may negatively impact the reputation or finances of FCO Services. You’ll also play a key part in developing and implementing centre strategy, and will continuously find ways to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction levels.

Take your SOC experience to the next level

Having already worked as an SOC manager, you will know what it takes to lead and manage a successful team, and will be comfortable keeping senior managers and colleagues updated with good – and bad – news about incidents as they unfold. Your IT background should include cyber security experience and you must be able to demonstrate solid network and vulnerability skills. You also need to be great communicator, influencer and decision-making who is curious, analytical and attentive to detail as well.

This is an exciting time for the centre, as we move towards a “Sell as a Service” model and seek to expand our customer base. So if you can bring some experience of the commercial sector, and the broader perspective that goes with it, so much the better.

And stretch yourself like never before

We respond with speed, agility and innovation to the ever-changing security challenges of customers all over the globe. For you, this offers exposure to rare and diverse elements of the cyber security world. Add in the chance to drive our ongoing commercial transformation, and you’re looking at a set of challenges and opportunities you’re unlikely to find anywhere else. In short, it’s your job, bigger.

All our employees have to be security cleared so you will need to undergo a comprehensive vetting process before joining.
