This is a great opportunity for an IT Audit Manager to join the companies Internal Audit and Risk Team. The Companies strategic plan has bold ambitions to expand digital, virtual and delivery services to get closer to customers; to launch inspirational new services to rebalance the business beyond just retail; as well as outlining major commitments to cutting waste and net zero carbon targets. This is an exciting time to join this high performing audit team and influence outcomes across the company by providing independent objective assurance to the Audit & Risk Committee.

In your role you will lead the delivery of audits across the audit plan with a primary focus on Programme and Digital reviews, whilst also delivering or supporting reviews across Finance, Operations, and Regulatory Assurance. The team is look for a specialist in at least one or two of these areas and you will coach other team members to develop better understanding and agility across these specialisms.

In addition, you will support the business to accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes through assurance and advisory reviews designed to protect assets, add value, and improve the companies operations.

What will you be doing?

  • Supporting the Internal Audit Senior Managers and Director, Audit and Risk in leading the delivery of internal audits across the audit plan.
  • Leading teams to deliver audits, providing high quality, clear and concise reports and deliverables.
  • Acting with an independent mind and demonstrating an ability to draw objective, logical and fit for purpose conclusions.
  • Working closely with the Risk Management team to inform operational focus and share insight into control effectiveness.
  • Supporting the design of improvements to Internal Audit's auditing practices, methods, procedures, documentation and quality.


What you'll have?

  • Significant practical experience in IT Internal Audit, managing engagements within industry, practice or in a governance, risk and controls oversight role.
  • Experience of leading or assuring programmes, and projects, including in a digital environment.
  • Strong ability to interpret numerous pieces of information, and identify what is important to form a point of view and course of action.
  • Experience in building and managing relationships with stakeholders whilst being comfortable engaging, challenging and influencing them.
