Technical Consultant - Cyber Security

Nottingham - GBP45,000 - GBP55,000 + Benefits

Applause IT are hiring for a Technical Consultant with knowledge of Linux OS / Servers and Networkingto work with a growing UK consultancy, collaborating with their customers in Defence, Intelligence, Government and Critical National Infrastructure and deliver a growing portfolio of the latest Cyber Security and Information Assurance products.

They have customers in the UK and internationally and this Technical Consultant will be part of their growing domestic and EU consultancy practice, helping to solve complex problems by working together with business stakeholders; translating requirements to the architects and development teams.

The successful Technical Consultant should have:

 

  • Experience working directly with customers in a technical setting - Software, Cyber Security, Networking, Telecoms Infrastructure etc.
  • The ability to gather requirements and design / implement solutions based on those customer requirements
  • Knowledge of Networking
  • Experience working with Linux - ideally Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Experience with problem verification and resolution
  • Experience with Windows Server (beneficial)
