Salary & Benefits: £44,656 to £64,472 base salary (location dependent), plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution, 4% flexible cash pot, private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Where does this role sit within the bank?

You'll work within our Enterprise division, specifically the Cyber Security teams who take a lead role keeping the banks customers safe. Our focus is on improving and developing the Bank's Cyber landscape. The work we undertake looks across People, Process and Technology meaning the role is multifaceted and far reaching.

This is a complex portfolio of delivery that ranges from ensuring a secure perimeter around legacy environments, bridging new cloud technologies with more traditional IT, through to working in partnership with teams right across the Bank to inspire Cyber innovation and education.

What will I focus on in this role?

You'll work within mostly Waterfall style project management function and usually pick up leading one or two key projects depending on their level of complexity. You'll support the end to end programme of work.

We have some interesting initial projects for you to focus on, for example a major bank wide Active Directory upgrade and a new group of cyber security applications which we would like to implement. Future projects can vary but usually based around implementing solutions addressing the cyber threat landscape

Specific activities which you'll be responsible for include things like;

  • Planning, resource management
  • Governance & control activities
  • Risk, Issue, Assumption & Dependency Management
  • Budget management averaging 3-5 million.
  • Coordinating with software engineers, product owners, analysts, customers, 3rd parties, technical specialists amongst others to ensure successful delivery
  • Stakeholder management
  • 3rd party management of testing and security activity
  • Mentoring & supporting more junior colleagues

What do we need to see from applicants?

We like people who come from diverse industry and cultural backgrounds. As a minimum to be considered we would need to see evidence in your CV of the following:

  • A prior background working at a mid - senior level as a IT Project Manager
  • Experience delivering IT Infrastructure Projects OR Cyber Security projects previously: Must have one of the two.
  • Financial Services background - a working familiarity would be helpful
  • Comfortable working with the likes of software engineers, product owners, business analysts, quality automation testing staff and customers!

What else would be handy? (but please apply if you have the above)

Knowledge of cloud platforms, active directory upgrade programmes or cyber security, but please apply if you have the above and not these finer points!

What can I expect in return?

We're dedicated to giving you opportunities and support to develop you both professionally and personally to optimise your potential!

As a new colleague to the team, you'll join us on our journey to build a 21st century bank that reflects modern Britain and craft an inclusive culture where all colleagues feel encouraged and valued.

We're committed to building a workforce which reflects the diversity of the customers and communities we serve, and to building an inclusive environment where all our colleagues can be themselves and succeed on merit. We support the principles of agile working and equal opportunity and are happy to consider flexible working arrangements.

Together we'll make it possible!
