Diverse perspectives and experiences are critical to our success and we welcome applications from all people from all backgrounds with the experience and skills needed to perform this role.

About the Team

HMRC CDIO (Chief Digital Information Office) is recruiting for Delivery Managers to join existing teams in delivering our ambitious and user-centric tax strategy.

With 50 million customers to serve, over 60 thousand colleagues to support and £600 billion to collect to fund UK Services (such as our NHS, Education System, and much more), our IT operation is far-reaching and has a direct impact on the tax collection and supporting those in need.

There are posts available in teams across the CDIO directorate. Successful candidates could be working in Digital, Service Management, Corporates, Customer Strategy & Tax Design, Customer Compliance Group, or Customer Services Group.

Whichever team you work in, Delivery Management is key to the successful forecasting, planning, and delivery of all our services. You will belong to a community of like-minded professionals and benefit from a structured approach to learning and development within the community.

Job Description

Our Delivery Managers lead and develop multidisciplinary teams to deliver value. They create the right environment for teams to succeed, helping them self-organise and create a culture of learning and transparency.

CDIO Delivery Managers use a range of agile methodologies to monitor and forecast their delivery team’s work as well as create a motivating environment for them to thrive. You will work either within a delivery team or supporting a group of delivery teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.

You will use relevant agile methodologies to remove obstacles and blockers that might get in the way of delivery.

For those who thrive in a fast-paced, exciting, collaborative and motivational environment, we offer unique and unparalleled opportunities to work with some of the latest technologies and make a real, lasting difference.

Please note: The reason we are launching this recruitment campaign across all locations is to ensure we have sufficient resources available for the future to cover our recruitment needs for the next 12 months. Candidates will be asked for location preferences in their application. Where this is not a role available in a specific location, candidates will be placed on a merit list for future opportunities.

As a Delivery Manager you will require knowledge and understanding of Agile methodologies, however, knowledge of other methodologies, in addition to Agile, are also welcome.
