Here at Yorkshire Building Society, we have an exciting opportunity for a Business Continuity Lead to join the Information Security Risk Management team. You will have the opportunity to take responsibility for business continuity and lead the implementation of YBS’ management risk framework. You’ll join a likeminded team in our Leeds & Bradford based offices, along with working from home capability.


About the role

As Business Continuity Lead, you’ll be responsible for the development and delivery of YBS’ Business Resilience/ Taskforce programme, developing and embedding the Business Resilience Strategy & Policy. You will -

  • Be the lead on and be responsible for business continuity, and will have interim responsibility (circa 6 months) for disaster recovery
  • Provide specialist expertise, advice, oversight and reporting for all areas of Business Resilience
  • Develop & deliver effective Incident Management & Crisis Management exercising capability


About you

You’ll have proven experience of the implementation of Business Resilience frameworks and have a track record of building collaborative working relationships. In addition, you will –

  • Have MBCI qualification
  • Have significant experience of defining BR/ BC priorities and translating these into operational and strategic plans
  • Have subject matter expertise and implementation of BR/ BC
  • Have strong communication & influencing skills
