Zurich Services, LLC (a division of Zurich North America) is currently hiring a Security Engineer within IT Services – Infrastructure and Security Change. This person will report to the North America Security Transformation Lead and can be located remotely. Assist the business in using a risk–based approach to secure IT systems from current and emerging threats during development and maintenance cycles. Implement security technologies to the requirements outlined by stakeholders. Assist in determining security requirements for projects. Perform maintenance and upgrades to existing security technologies. Enhance the technologies as requested by stakeholders. Consult on technical issues and questions surrounding technologies in use within the company. Estimate the cost and determine the delivery approach for security solutions. Provide project management for technology deployments. Job Summary: Plan, analyze, design, and implement global security systems including network monitoring, intrusion detection and prevention, identity management, access control, mobile device management, and data protection. Initiate upgrades to security systems as necessitated by technology availability and maturity, security gaps, emerging threats, business risk and needs, and cost effectiveness. Serve as a primary security contact for projects during the planning, analysis, and design phases of projects. Provide IT security technology and process guidance for the business. Serve as a project manager for enterprise tool implementations, maintain and distribute timely and accurate project updates, monitor project budget, ensure timely delivery against project timelines Provide subject matter expertise on key technologies in use within the IT environment Enhance the Security Group's and reputation by maintaining personal networks with other IT and business units, suppliers, and vendors; participating in professional organizations and acquiring professional certifications; accepting ownership for tasks; providing noticeable business value beyond technical security consultation. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Information Security area OR Zurich Cybersecurity Technician Apprentice, including including Cyber Security Certification and 6 or more years of experience in the Information Security area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Information Security area AND Solution engineering or security architecture experience Project management experience Preferred Qualifications: Security technologies background including knowledge of cloud systems Networking background Adaptable and flexible to learn other technology. Familiarity with project lifecycle and concepts, SDLC, Agile or Waterfall methodology. Requirements review experience, change management, and project planning. ITIL experience and knowledge preferred Strong vendor management skills preferred Systems integration experience preferred Security certification such as CISSP or CISM preferred In–depth, strong problem–solving analytical skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Insurance Industry Experience preferred As a condition of employment at Zurich, employees must adhere to any COVID–related health and safety protocols in place at that time ().
