Head of IT Security – Remote

Job Title: Head of IT Security

Location: Fully Remote

To facilitate my clients' growth, I am now exclusively recruiting for an experienced head of it security. This is working for a hyper growth scale up business who have grown from GBP50m turnover 2 years ago to over GBP300m in 2022. They are now one of the leading organisations in their field in the whole of Europe.

The ideal candidate is someone who has operated at a similar level, someone who has experience in taking on responsibility for all aspects of security within a scalable business.

This is a highly reputable organisation who heavily promote organic growth where possible, the career development opportunities are endless and fast tracked with sales continually growing at around 50% YOY.

Responsibilities;

  • Resolution of 2nd and 3rd tier security incidents
  • Creation and implementation of incident response plans.
  • Having input with Security Data Governance, Security Architecture and cyber training throughout the business.
  • Engage with 3rd party suppliers
  • Assessment, incident management, resolution, and protective & proactive monitoring.
  • Collaborate effectively with the CISO and CIO, lead, manage and inspire various teams within the function.
  • Day to day management of their Cyber Security and Resilience budget

Required skills;

  • SOC Experience
  • Good knowledge of MS Security products
  • Working knowledge of security framework regulations (NIST, 27001, PCI/DSS etc.)
  • OWASP, SAN application knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills, able
  • CISSP, CCP, CISM, Degree in the Information Security area, or equivalent are desirable
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards.
