Cyber Governance Specialist, Sydney

A leading financial institution is hiring for their newest Cyber Governance specialist to join their expanding Sydney team.

Your team is a collection of true Cyber policy SME's that have a wealth of experience for the successful candidate to tap into to excel your growth within the cyber governance field.

You will be responsible for supporting the overall operating effectiveness of the risk management framework in relation to cyber and technology resilience.

Responsibilities

• Establish & nurture strong working relationships with a host of stakeholders, internal & external, to drive a robust cyber & technology risk culture among the business.
• Using your SME cyber risk & controls knowledge you will be a critical team member that will advise senior business line leaders in constructive cyber risk mitigation methods and procedures.
• You will be given the trust to scrutinise & support redesign of the operational risk framework to build maturity & mitigate emerging Cyber & technology risk.
• Your role as an expert in this field will require strong financial markets Infrastructure understanding to build SME opinion for operating effectiveness & risk mitigation.
• Present & produce action plans for your stakeholders, based off of your findings for gaps in their processes.

Requirements

• Financial Services experience. Preferably Banking.
• Experience supporting or executing operational risk framework improvements within the cyber or Technology space.
• Prior Information security, Cyber Audit or Risk experience is critical.
• A relevant Cyber or Information security qualification is highly desired - CISSP, CISM
• 4-7 years' experience is desirable.
• Those coming from Big 4 consulting backgrounds are welcome. So long as your portfolio has included financial services (preferably banking) clients.
