Head of Privacy/Data Protection Professional (Interim/ Interim to permanent)

Our client, a very impressive and global outsourcing business - offering services to a range of public and private sector clients - requires a Head of Privacy/ Data Protection specialist to join their well-established Data Protection team.

This role requires an immediate start and so applicants must be immediately available.

Reporting to Director level and managing a small team, you will be regularly liaising with very senior level stakeholders (board/exce level).

Deliverables include:

• Being the main point of contact for the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) and any Data Subject Access Requests
• Leading on data protection impact assessments
• Keeping fit-for-purpose compliance records
• Managing the Data Protection Officer inbox and being the main point of contact and lead on any complaints/breaches
• Line managing 1 Privacy Co-ordinator
• Providing advice and support to senior level stake holders across internal departments on new products and services and supporting on bids for new business
• Liaising effectively with both internal and external customers
• Being the senior leadership team's subject matter expert and 'go-to' person for data protection advice and queries

The person:

• Must be an experienced data protection professional
• Must have previous line managment and senior level stakeholder engagement experience
• Must be immediately available / maximum a week's notice
• Applicants holding a (CIPPE/CIPM) qualification will be of particular interest (though this is not essential
