IT SOx Controls Manager

Barclay Simpson has been exclusively engaged by a large construction services business to assist with the expansion of their new SOx controls function as they transition from a co-source to an in-house model. This expansion includes the newly created position of IT SOx Controls Manager as well as a Senior IT SOx Auditor, which will report into this role. You will be required to go into the Leeds office 1-2 days/week.

Reporting directly into the Director of SOx & Internal Controls, you will have ownership of the IT SOx control environment. You will be the IT SOx SME and work closely with global control owners to help them understand requirements, advise on best practice and remediate any control weaknesses. You will also be actively involved in new system implementations and when new entities fall within scope of SOx. You will also lead & review the work of the Senior IT SOx Auditor, who will report into you, as well as testing some of the more complex processes. On occasion, you will also assist on the Business Process side when required.

You will hold a relevant qualification (CISA/ACA/ACCA etc) and have recent experience in an IT SOx or ITGC focused role. Prior experience in Big 4/Top 10 practice is advantageous but not essential. Candidates looking to make their first move from Big 4/Top 10 practice will be considered. You must have strong stakeholder engagement skills and be confident when liaising with control owners. Full eligibility to work in the UK is essential.

The salary package on offer is £70,000-£75,000 + £4,000 car allowance + benefits.
