Senior IT SOx Auditor

Barclay Simpson has been exclusively engaged by a large construction services business to assist with the expansion of their new SOx controls function as they transition from a co-source to an in-house model. This expansion includes the newly created position of Senior IT SOx Auditor. You will be required to go into the Leeds office 2-3 days/week.

Reporting directly into the IT SOx Controls Manager, you will play a key role in the implementation, maintenance and improvement of the IT SOx control environment. You will lead the testing of design & operational effectiveness of all in-scope IT General Controls & Application Controls, then work closely with global control owners to remediate any deficiencies to ensure controls are operating effectively by year-end. You will also get involved in any new system implementations as well as gain exposure to Business Process controls testing.

You will hold a relevant qualification (CISA/ACA/ACCA) and have recent experience in testing IT Controls, either from an external audit or internal audit perspective. Prior experience in Big 4/Top 10 is preferred and candidates looking to make their first move into industry will be considered. You must have strong communication skills and an eagerness to learn. Full eligibility to work in the UK is essential.

The salary package on offer is £50,000-£55,000 + £4,000 car allowance
