You’ll be a key member of the ET Control & Cyber Strategy team that provides strategic direction for a more secure and resilient Electricity Transmission (ET) network. Guiding requirements and implementing security controls for Critical National Infrastructure (CNI)/ SCADA systems used within the Electricity Transmission systems within the UK. 

You’ll also be engaging with externally bodies such as OFGEM, NCSC and DESNZ as the lead on SCADA cyber security within National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET).  Essentially you’ll be supporting the building and ongoing operation of secure and resilient SCADA and CNI systems within NGET.

Key skills and knowledge – the must haves

  • Operational Technology/SCADA Cyber Security experience in electricity transmission
  • Knowledge of security frameworks /standards such as NIS-D, NCSC CAF, NIST CSF/800-53/800-82, IEC 62443. 
  • Experience with IT security – security architecture knowledge or awareness, security requirements / risk assessment experience.
