The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Compliance function as a Data Protection Lead!
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation and Data Protection Act (20I8). Collaborating closely with the Data Protection Manager, you will developing Data Protection Specialists to their full potential as well as having other responsibilities.
You'll be:
- Supporting the Data Protection Manager with routine interactions with the Information Commissioner's Office
- Supporting the Data Protection Manager with managing the relationship with client Data Protection teams
- Attending senior client forums to provide assurance on the systems and controls protecting their customer data
- Supporting the due diligence of new 3rd party suppliers in relation to data protection provisions and ongoing monitoring of systems
- Preparing and circulating Data Protection MI within Diligenta and to clients
- Providing training, advice and guidance to senior management and staff as necessary
You should apply if you:
- Have expert knowledge of the Data Protection Act and GDPR
- Have sound technical generic knowledge of the ICO and FCA requirements
- Are a credible influencer of senior management, able to propose and implement compliant solutions with the required level of personal impact
- Are able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Have the ability to review and analyse management information
