Cyber Security Engineer Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US Working in an exciting Military based engineering and production environment with state of the art C5ISR hardware, systems and platforms. This work will include teaming with other engineers in various disciplines to develop best–in–class products and solutions. The Software/Cyber Engineer needs to maintain a level of technical competence and awareness in the areas of C5ISR communication systems integration, and be able to apply theories, concepts and principles in these areas. This includes researching, designing, developing, testing and supporting new systems, applications, and solutions for enterprise–wide cyber systems and networks.
Applies computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, and other cyber physical engineering disciplines to the design, development, integration, and support of new solutions or products that identify, exploit, protect against, or mitigate cyber security vulnerabilities.
Integrates new architectural features into existing infrastructures, designs cyber security architectural artifacts, provides architectural analysis of cyber security features, relates existing system to future needs and trends, embeds advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, provides engineering recommendations, and resolves integration and testing issues. May interface with external entities including law enforcement, intelligence and other government organizations and agencies. You'll Bring These Qualifications: A MS in Computer Science with a concentration in the Cyber Security Area of studies
Minimum 3.5 and above GPA
Active Secret security clearance required
Ability to acquire a Top–Secret Clearance required
3 years' experience desired, not required. These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Programming Languages: Java, Javascript, Python, C, SQL, Perl, Go, Haskell
Operating Systems: Windows, Unix, Linux
Software: Inventor, AutoCAD, Revit, Eclipse, Virtual Box, Azure DevOps,
Creativity and analytical skills with the ability to perform in a fast–paced environment, and the ability to develop solutions from an idea to final product
Understanding of the implications of issues such as cost, safety, design for manufacturability, and time constraints
Willingness to work in a field environment, and previous experience with military vehicles is a plus
Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner, and the ability to work well with others
Hands on mechanical aptitude/skills, knowledge of basic hand tools and shop procedures, ability to direct and lead technicians
