Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with the Privacy Act of 1974, E–Government Act of 2002, OMB privacy policy, and NIST guidelines for the DOI Privacy Office.
  • Develop, update, and guide the accurate creation and publication of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs).
  • Track and ensure the current status of privacy compliance activities, including posting of SORNs, PIAs, and privacy plans in Xacta.
  • Attend privacy–related meetings, providing updates, support, and responses to privacy reviews and assignments.
  • Facilitate privacy training programs, update tracking systems with compliance activities, and provide regular updates and reports.
  • Assess and implement privacy controls with system owners to mitigate risks as part of the DOI risk management framework.
  • Develop, update, and ensure accurate system privacy plans with guidance to system owners.
  • Develop, update, and guide the accurate creation and publication of System of Records Notices (SORNs).
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology or engineering discipline preferred.

  • Willing to undergo federal Background check process
