Network Security Engineer with Security Clearance

Experis is supporting a federal client to find a Network Security Engineer. This is a hybrid schedule in Washington DC (onsite 1–2x a week). Role Description: As a Network Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the security and integrity of the organization's network infrastructure. Your primary focus will be on managing network security within an multi–tenanted enterprise environment. Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with various technical teams and report to a Senior Network Architect within the CISO department. Your work will span across multiple security technologies to include but not limited to: AWS, Akamai, Checkpoint, GCP, Palo Alto, and zScaler. Responsibilities 1. Network Security Management: Implement and Manage Security Measures: Deploy and maintain security solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and network access control (NAC) mechanisms. Network Vulnerability Assessment: Regularly assess network vulnerabilities, identify security gaps, and recommend remediation strategies. Incident Response: Respond to security incidents promptly, investigate.
