Senior Cybersecurity Specialist – up to GBP65,000
London/ Hybrid
VIQU are seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to join our client's team. As a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist, you will play a crucial role in implementing security procedures and supporting governance, risk and compliance efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyse security events, incidents, and alerts to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Facilitate external penetration tests to identify weaknesses in our systems, services and applications.
- Support Third Party Security Assessments.
- Collaborate with cross–functional teams to ensure effective security controls and risk mitigation strategies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Provide security awareness training to employees and promote a security–conscious culture.
- Support compliance efforts, including ISO 27001 and other relevant frameworks.
- Participate in incident response activities and contribute to security incident investigations.
- This role will focus on security implementation but will also have an element of Governance, Risk and Compliance strategies.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in security analysis, risk management, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, and other relevant security frameworks.
- Experience in managing Microsoft Entra ID & M365 – Intune, Microsoft Defender, Purview.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps, GRC processes and tools.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platform security technologies.
- Experience with security assessment and Monitoring tools.
- Excellent communication and problem–solving skills.
