The Opportunity
Kandji is seeking a Head of Information Security and IT to develop and implement Information Security and IT strategy, programs, and activities for the company. Reporting to the COO, this leadership position offers the opportunity to ensure that processes, controls, and documentation are adequate to protect Kandji from existing threats, as well as from potential new threats. This position will also oversee our IT operations, and ensure that IT is able to seamlessly support our business objectives as we scale. This is an exciting role for someone passionate about leveraging technology to drive business success while leading high–performance Security and IT Teams.
Security- Lead security initiatives and implement technology, process, and procedures across endpoint protection, cloud infrastructure protection, event monitoring, vulnerability management, configuration management, and incident response.
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate risks.
- Establish and lead incident response protocols in the event of data breaches or cybersecurity incidents. Ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Implement governance frameworks to align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to relevant laws and industry standards.
- Develop policies for data privacy and protection, ensuring robust protection measures are in place.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the company's business objectives and growth plans.
- Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of all IT systems.
- Collaborate with other department heads to identify and implement technology solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
- Manage and mentor the Security and IT Teams, fostering a collaborative, high–performance culture.
- Work closely with leadership and cross–functional teams to ensure that Security and IT initiatives support overall company objectives.
- Provide regular updates to executive leadership on the status of Security and IT initiatives, challenges, and advancements.
- 10+ years of experience in Security and IT, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of mentoring and developing talent.
- Deep technical knowledge across Security, Risk Management, and IT.
- Ability to communicate complex Security and IT issues to both technical and non–technical stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and incident response.
- Experience operating in a hyper–growth startup environment.
