Summary:

This position is responsible for the QuEra cybersecurity posture from an engineering, analysis and auditing perspective. In this role, it's critical to support the design and implementation of policy and controls, as well as enforcement and auditing of the organization and staff.

Responsibilities:

  1. Implementation, management, and monitoring of IT security measures and protections within the organization.
  2. Analysis and evaluation of potential threats, designing and implementing security solutions.
  3. Monitoring IT infrastructure to identify security vulnerabilities and taking appropriate corrective actions.
  4. Responding to security incidents and providing technical support in IT security.
  5. Collaborating with all departments to implement and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
  6. Managing security tools, creating IT security reports, and conducting audits.
  7. Adjusting security strategies to changing industry requirements and regulations.
  8. Support operations to ensure platform availability to partners and customers.
  9. Report security status to key stakeholders.
  10. Ensure security auditing and reporting.
  11. Support user education of security tools and policy.
  12. Identify opportunities for process optimization, process redesign, development of processes or implementation of enhanced tools.
  13. Support staff adherence and education to QuEra Cloud Security best practices and lead the SaaSIO Engineering Security best–practices training.
  14. Familiarity with security tools (Splunk, Crowdstrike, Tenable, etc.).
  15. Familiarity with development security tools (Jfrog, GitHub, etc.).
  16. Familiarity with Azure technologies (e.g., O365, identity management, email/spam, etc.).
  17. A good understanding of Cloud Security in AWS, specifically IAM Roles Policies, Security Groups, and Encryption methodologies.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Science, or equivalent work experience.
  2. 5+ years experience in IT Security or related field.
  3. Excellent human relations, communication, organization, and team building skills.
  4. Knowledge of risk management principles and procedures for responding to security incidents.
  5. Ability to identify and analyze potential threats and develop appropriate security solutions.
  6. Knowledge of IT security tools and technologies.
  7. IT security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, are an additional advantage.
