HarmonyTech, Inc. is looking for an experienced IT Systems Security Analyst, responsible for collaborating with security engineering, operations, architecture, and build teams. The analyst will aid in the creation and maintenance of documentation required to support Authorization To Operate (ATO) for applications and databases migrated to Azure Gov Cloud.

The work shall be performed at HarmonyTech's Fairfax VA location and/or client's location, in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather information, analyze system requirements, architecture and system design documentation.
  • Participate in and support the process to determine system security classification
  • Develop and maintain ATO documentation artifacts, including but not limited to Privacy Impact Analysis, System Security Plan, Contingency Plan, Plan Of Action & Mitigation (POA&M), Security Assessment Report, and Authorization package.
  • Leverage and inherit the security controls implemented by Azure Gov Cloud and assist the development teams to extend the security controls based upon system security classification
  • Work with application teams to ensure required security controls are implemented
  • Participate and provide SME support for the system security testing before going live
  • Provide SME support for the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to obtain ATO
Requirements:
  • At least twelve (12) years of professional work experience as IT systems security analyst required
  • At least two (2) years of hands–on experience with supporting ATO process in Azure Gov Cloud. Similar experience with other cloud service providers such as AWS is a plus
  • Experience with implementing FISMA security framework is a must.
  • Hands–on experience in developing IT system security documentation is a must.
  • RMF certifications such as "Certified Authorization Professional (CAP)" is a plus
  • Ability to work independently in a fast–paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all levels of IT and business management.
  • Good understanding of SDLC processes
  • Knowledge of the Privacy Act, GDPR, and other data privacy frameworks is a plus
  • Ability to create and deliver technical presentations effectively to the customer audience that includes CIO, CISO and CTO
  • Security certifications such as CISSP or CISM or equivalent is a plus
  • U.S. citizenship required
Education:
Bachelor's in computer science or related field of study, required
