Uptime Security is looking for an experienced and driven Network Security Architect with extensive knowledge of Checkpoint solutions to join our team!
What is the job about?
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing robust network security solutions. You will work closely with customer IT teams and other stakeholders to ensure their networks are secure, reliable, and up–to–date. Additionally, you will participate in pre–sales activities, collaborating closely with the sales team to provide technical expertise and ensure successful client engagements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing state–of–the–art network architectures that align with clients' business objectives and compliance requirements.
- Advising customers on best practices for network security.
- Implementing and managing Checkpoint network security solutions.
- Serving as the client's first point of contact for network security–related matters.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure the security, reliability, and modernity of customer networks.
- Participating in pre–sales activities to provide technical expertise and support successful client engagements.

As our ideal candidate, you possess:
- A bachelor's or master's degree, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in network security, with specific expertise in Checkpoint solutions.
- Familiarity with concepts like Zero Trust, SASE, SSE, SDN, and NDR.
- Experience with other network security technologies such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Trend Micro.
- In–depth knowledge of Checkpoint products and technologies, including implementation and configuration experience.
- Strong experience in network architecture and design principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem–solving skills, with the ability to assess complex security issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Certifications such as Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) or Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE) are a plus.
- Knowledge of other security technologies and solutions is an advantage.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non–technical stakeholders.
- Good knowledge of security frameworks such as Cyber Fundamentals, NIST, CIS, and ISO27001.
- A solid understanding of security methodologies, best practices, and industry standards.
- A proactive approach to cybersecurity, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Creative and critical thinking skills, with the ability to question solutions and embrace change, innovation, and transformation.
- A team player mentality, prioritizing the common good and collaborating effectively with others.
- Stress resistance and adaptability in a dynamically changing context.
- Fluency in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
