Full Job Description:

Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for a Senior Principal Security Engineer to join a growing team in support of a government agency. This position will require 5 days in office, located in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities/Overview:

• Lead the HSM Management, supporting its technologies processes, usage and project initiatives.
• Create and update process and technical documentation regarding lifecycle, configuration and STIG requirements.
• Work closely with other cryptography teams to select the best solutions involving HSMs.
• Perform and lead encryption key ceremonies as a key security officer.
• Test and document new versions of HSM hardware and firmware.
• Update plans and programs based on changes in internal and industry standards and regulatory environment.

Required Qualifications:

• 15+ years of relative experience.
• 5+ years of symmetric and asymmetric cryptography concepts and technologies.
• 8+ years in the encryption and key management security discipline.
• 5+ years managing Utimaco and Thales HSMs.
• 5+ years working with Microsoft Windows Server, active directory, networking protocols, etc.
• 3+ years' experience performing encryption key ceremonies as a key security officer.
• DoD 8140/8570 IAT level II compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Active Top–Secret Clearance, with SCI eligibility.

Compensation and Benefits:

• $165,000–$225,000.
