Capital One is seeking a technical Senior Director, Cybersecurity Product Leader for Cloud Security and Governance and Risk management areas to deliver game–changing cybersecurity solutions based on threat, data, and design thinking. What you'll do:

  1. Develop and communicate a technology first, risk–based and data–driven strategy and roadmap for enterprise security services, solutions, and capabilities for multiple of our cybersecurity focuses.
  2. Partner closely with engineering and operations partners, customers, and other stakeholders.
  3. Analyze and select alternatives based on threat, risk, desirability, feasibility, and viability.
  4. Keep abreast of advances in industry to address the threat landscape.
  5. Facilitate build vs. buy decisions to identify optimal strategies for addressing business and technology risks.
  6. Maintain technical and risk credibility with your own team and with partners across the enterprise.
  7. Maintain close ties to various stakeholders, developers, and engineers across the company, ensuring the services we create meet their needs as products evolve.
  8. Iterate quickly and see the products through to production and scale.
  9. Establish product value propositions, metrics, and key indicators.
  10. Recruit, motivate, mentor, and lead those around you to be their best.
About You:
  1. You have strong technical cybersecurity and analytical skills.
  2. You have the ability to foster collaborative, open, working relationships with technology groups and other stakeholders, including vendor relationships.
  3. You have demonstrated clear communication skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels of an organization, and to influence senior management and executives (Including translating technical information based on specific audiences).
  4. You have experience managing multiple high–visibility and high–impact enterprise cybersecurity projects with cross–functional teams while maintaining superior results including planning, development and management of technical requirements, design, testing and deployment of security solutions.
  5. You have operated successfully in a product–led technology environment.
  6. You have a passion for cybersecurity.
Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree.
  2. At least 7 years of people management experience.
  3. At least 9 years of experience in cybersecurity.
  4. At least 5 years of experience translating cybersecurity strategy and analysis into product and service requirements for cloud security, governance and risk management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in computer science.
  2. 5+ years of experience in public cloud security, poly–cloud and multi–cloud environments.
  3. 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity governance and risk management.
  4. 2+ years of experience in scaled agile product management.
  5. 2 + years of experience in regulated financial services organizations.
  6. Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, GIAC (various), CISM, CCSP, CISA, CRISC, SAFe Product Management, AWS Security, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, AWS Solutions Architect).
Compensation:

The minimum and maximum full–time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location.

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Salaries for part–time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

San Francisco, California (Hybrid On–Site): $340,500 – $388,700 for Sr. Dir, Cyber Technical.
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance–based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long–term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non–discretionary depending on the plan.
