Network Security Engineer (SASE Solutions)
Locations:
Jersey City, NJ
(Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Candidate Preference: Local candidates or those willing to relocate to one of the specified locations.
Work Authorization: W2 only
Must–Have Skills & Experience:
Network Security Engineering: 5+ years of experience in designing, engineering, and implementing network security solutions within a large enterprise environment.
SASE & SSE: 5+ years of experience in designing and engineering proxy–based Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Secure Service Edge (SSE), and SASE solutions.
SWG/SSE Vendor Experience: Experience with SWG and SSE vendors like Palo Alto, Zscaler, Netskope.
Software Development: Proficiency in Python, Ansible, Terraform, or JSON.
DevOps & Automation: Experience with microservices, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins), and APIs.
Responsibilities:
Design and build a web proxy solution as part of a broader SASE implementation.
Lead the migration from existing SWG/SSE solutions (Palo Alto, Zscaler, Netskope) to the new platform.
Design and implement secure internet and cloud DMZ architectures, including load balancing.
Develop and maintain automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines for network security solutions.
Collaborate with cross–functional teams to ensure the security and compliance of network infrastructure.
Stay updated on the latest network security technologies and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
SASE/SSE/SWG Expertise: Deep understanding of SASE, SSE, and SWG concepts and technologies.
Cloud DMZ: Experience with cloud DMZ architecture and implementation.
Remote Access: Experience with employee remote access solutions.
Firewall Technologies: Familiarity with stateful and application–layer firewall technologies.
Agile Methodologies: Experience working with Agile frameworks like Kanban and Scrum.
Education:
BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
