About the Role
Swinburne University is seeking a Senior Cyber Analyst to play a key role in the Cyber Resilience Program, ensuring the university's digital security remains robust and adaptive. Reporting to the Cyber Resiliency Program Manager, this role is responsible for the analysis, design, and implementation of cyber solutions that enhance the university's security posture. Key responsibilities include defining the business analysis (BA) approach, eliciting and documenting business requirements, establishing acceptance criteria, and ensuring requirements traceability for reusability. Additionally, you will assess risks and develop mitigation strategies to support the successful delivery of cyber resilience initiatives.
Collaboration is central to this role, as you will work closely with the Program Manager, CISO team, business stakeholders, and external solution vendors. You will contribute to business case development, procurement processes, solution development, testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), operational readiness, and change management. Your expertise will ensure that cyber resilience solutions are not only fit for purpose but also seamlessly adopted by Operations teams. This is an exciting opportunity to drive impactful cybersecurity initiatives and strengthen Swinburne's ability to withstand evolving cyber threats.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated leadership skills to influence and drive cybersecurity initiatives forward
- BA Knowledge - Solid appreciation of BA methods and techniques, ideally relatable to common and best practice industry standards.
- Understanding and experience in the application of Business Analysis frameworks and their application across the project delivery lifecycles
- Business Process Management - Experience in the application of Business Process Management techniques including business process mapping (BPMN 2.0), gap analysis, reengineering and automation to streamline ways of working and achieve sustainable efficiencies

Qualifications
• Postgraduate qualification or progress towards a postgraduate qualification and extensive relevant experience gained through working in a university, corporate or government environment; or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
• Hold relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent
